Description

A wide single panel of a full moon over open water, with the light broken into a path across the swell. The palette is almost entirely deep blue and grey with one band of pale gold, which is why it sits quietly in a bedroom instead of competing with everything else in the room.

Hanging and care

A 32-inch width wants a wall of at least four feet to breathe. Hang it with the horizon roughly at eye level when standing. Dust with a dry cloth; do not use glass cleaner on a canvas face.

Before you hang it

Measure the wall, then mark it in tape.

The commonest disappointment with wall art is scale, not colour. Mark the outline of the piece on the wall with masking tape and leave it for an evening. If it reads small in tape, it will read small framed.

Wall fixings are the other half. Plaster, brick and drywall each take a different fitting, and we deliberately do not supply hardware — the right fixing depends on the wall in front of you, not on the piece in the box.
